The shoes fit good, a little narrow I work for state Fish and Wildlife, so I do quite a bit of hiking and walking in rough terrain. The shoes fit good, a little narrow. Good grip. Have not hiked in them just yet (I’ve been sticking to my waterproof hikers), but they move good with my feet on long walks. Only took me 2 days to wear them in perfectly, which is good for now, but may mean they will wear out faster; remains to be seen. Good ventilation. Poor design. I really wanted to like these but the tongue is way too big and sticks up too far. They are comfortable but the tongue design is hideous.
Narrow toe box! I wear a size 9 almost always, these felt too small and I should have gone a half a size up (but sadly I ordered them just before a trip where I needed them). The were light weight and I didn’t have a problem with the lack of arch support others have mentioned. However, the narrow toe box was a real problem for me – and as the hike progressed it became more and more uncomfortable, especially on the downhills!
