I PREFER THE OLDER VERSION…. I bought this travel mug after immensely enjoying the older version for a couple of years. Although it is easier to clean the inside lid of the new one, I prefer the older version. I prefer the size of that one as well, and I believe that it holds heat longer than the new version.
Contigo look and quality I love contigos, I got turned onto them a few years ago by a co-worker and haven’t looked back. I used to get the 27 oz ones for ice water until I found Tekaya, which is much better and bigger for taking to work. Now I use the contigos for hot coffee or drinks, so I bought the gunmetal w/handle version. It’s sleek and sharp, I love the color. It locks, which is a nice feature. Not huge but holds a reasonable cup of coffee and will keep it hot for hours. The lids keep getting simpler and easier…
There’s just something about having a handle on your travel mug! This particular handle is very comfortable to hold with a nice rubbery grip. The button to push down to release your beverage is comfortable and seems to be placed at a natural height.I love that you can drink out of either side of the lid. So, if you grab the mug with your left hand, you can bring it right up to your mouth and take a sip. Same with grabbing it from your right side.
