Great for smaller insulated packs We use them to keep bottles cold for our little one as well as yogurt, cheese packs, fruit cups, etc. We have insulated lunch totes that we use and the packs work well enough to keep bottles/food cold for about 6-8 hours. They work well for a day at the zoo or a car trip. I like that they are flat so they do not take up a whole lot of space. They don’t stay frozen for as long as I’d like, but they do stay cold for several hours. Of course, you can always add more if you want things to stay…
pretty cool. Use two of theses at the bottom … Ok…pretty cool. Use two of theses at the bottom of my grown grandsons lunch container. Yes he is spoiled by his grandmother but he does work 12 hour shifts & he has not complained about his lunch. Maybe he is afraid I will tell him to make his own lunch? I like them because they dont take up a lot of space in my freezer.
Ice packs help prevent food borne illness My husband is a steelworker by trait. I mention this for those who understand the amount of food required to pack in order to keep them going going strong. I often concerned myself with food borne bacteria. I feel more secure with these ice packs. The meat & cheese sandwiches, mayo salads are nice and cold for him when he gets quick break to eat. These are also the perfect size to fit lunch box. There are four individual packs. He’s happy having eating sandwiches cold instead of warm.
