The instructions are confusing and largely unnecessary! I assumed the fan would be an easy … The product itself is a 5/5, but there are some cons that buyers should be aware of.CONS:1. The fan itself is huge! Much, much bigger than a stock CPU fan. I actually could not fit mine because the physical size of my RAM cards were too big, and had to spend more money on buying smaller cards. I took that opportunity to also upgrade those so there was value to that at least.2. The instructions are confusing and largely unnecessary! I assumed the fan would be…

Excellent fan for the money I’m running an ASUS Maximus VIII Hero motherboard, with an Intel Core i5 6600K CPU @ 3.5 GHz, 2 sticks of Corsair DDR4 8Gb RAM @ 2132 MHz, with an Artic Alpine 11 Pro fan, inside a Corsair Carbide Series 100R Mid Tower Case. Note that the Artic Alpine fan is a downblow design (It blows DOWN over the cooling fins at the CPU).When rendering video with this setup, the motherboard would automatically overclock the CPU to 100% load: 4.1 GHz, fan would spin to 2200+ RPM, and temps reached…

Not a perfect fit on my motherboard, but it seems to do the job of cooling quite well. I updated my system last year to a AsusTeK M5A99FX Pro 2.0 with a AMD FX-8350 running at 4 GHZ, not overclocked. I decided to use the stock fan but would consistently get warnings of over 65C and after about a year it shut down twice on me last week for overtemp. Opening the case I see there was SOME blockage of the CPU cooling fins. (I apparently was not good in doing preventative maintenance) BUT it was on the edge of overheat even after cleaning if I was doing anything such as rendering a…
