The legendary air cooler is back. The Hyper 212 Black Edition is a no fuss get the best cooling air cooler. The aluminum top cover and nickel plated jet black fins, give the Hyper 212 Black Edition a premium look. The sleek jet black not only makes it look great, but, does increase cooling performance. The Hyper 212 Black Edition maintains the same cooling efficiency as the Hyper 212 EVO. The Direct Contact Technology, stacked fins and 4 heat pipes, reduces airflow resistance, reduces heat spots, and increase airflow to the heatsinks. As quiet as the night. The Hyper 212 Black Edition improved fan design reduces noise generated from the fan.

This revision of the Hyper 212 is definitely an upgrade. Well worth the money. I purchased this air cooled heatsink as further support of my long standing aversion toward water cooled computers. Water does not belong near your computer. The Hyper 212: Black Edition decreased CPU temperature by 11 celsius. Looks great in black; opposed to a bronze color CPU heatsink ruining the common black theme. Comes with 2 sets of fan brackets. Package includes only one fan, but Cooler Master supplied an extra bracket for future push/pull configuration.A couple minor issues…
A major step backwards I have owned several Cooler Master CPU coolers over the years including the somewhat infamous GeminII (the GIANT one, not the smaller more modern one). The Hyper 212 was an excellent design – so much so that every system I’ve built in the past three years has boasted one and I’ve even taken to buying cases specifically with it in mind. So, when it came time to build a system with more asthetics in mind, I was keen to give this sleeker black version a go…The conclusion is utter…
Much better version of the 212 Plus! This thing is capable of cooling an i7-9700k while doing it quietly. The highest I’ve seen my temps go has been while playing around with a 4.5ghz overclock, which went into the low 70’s after a few minutes of prime. I may have been able to lower my voltages a little bit. I like running this processor at stock for now, surprisingly, and this thing never goes past 60 degrees. The top of the base section does have a bit more heatsink fins on the top compared to the 212 plus, which may or may not…
