This is an excellent little tool for simple cultivating jobs Excellent little tool! I bought it for clamming, finding quahogs specifically. We frequently go clamming at a place close by to us in the summer, it has all types of clams; razors, pacific razors, steamers, all sizes of quahogs, and the stray surf clams here and there. The easiest clam to “dig” is a quahog since they sit only a couple of inches under the sand. I was previously using a small handheld mini three prong garden tool just to drag through the sand if I thought what I saw was…

Not a Tool for a Senior Extremely sturdy tool. So sturdy that I could not twist it to extend it. I even hurt myself trying relentlessly to twist it. My daughter failed to extend it. So I had my 6’4″ marine friend try and he couldn’t!! So I am currently at my wits end! I must have pulled some muscles attempting to do this. Even my neck is painful. DON’T FORCE – MISLABELED Okay, b4 I purchased I saw a lot of people wrote they couldn’t lengthen thru twisting & broke the rake by forcing. This WILL happen if you follow the “OPEN ARROW” as it is backwards!Twist OPPOSITE the arrow (clockwise as rake facing sky) until you feel a release & pull to lengthen.
