Council Tool 2 lb. Hudson Bay axe head outfitted with an 18-Inch curved hickory handle and furnished with a sheath. One-handed camp axe. Used for light splitting, chopping, driving tent pegs, etc. The pattern is thought to have originated from “Biscayan” in Northern Spain, near France. French traders used this hand axe as a trade tool in their dealings with Native American for fur and other commodities in the Hudson Bay area, St. Lawrence River and other trade routes.

U won’t be disappointed Awesome camp axe for the money
Perfect truck axe I was looking for something in-between my Husqvarna hatchet & forest axe for my truck – this is PERFECT. 2 lb head is heavier than either, but the 18″ haft makes it quite the in-betweener. The haft is very slim as well, which you don’t see too often these days. Sure, you’ll have to clean up the bit a little, but that’s the story with most new axes. I’d definitely recommend purchasing this one!
Great little axe This is a well made, well balanced axe that is the right size for camping or light chores around the country home. The edge needed minor touchup when I got it. Some would advise sanding the lacquer off the handle, or you can just use a work glove.American made, good quality, and a lot cheaper than a premium axe from Europe. Hard to beat
