The Cressi Compass with Strap and Hose Mount is a modern instrument that enables easy reading in all conditions. The magnetic compass card moves extensively in all directions, so that reading is accurate even if the instrument is not held perfectly level. The face is luminous and divided into 10° intervals. Reading can take place by looking at the instrument from above or, more easily, through a Gun-Sight Accurate special window that enables more precise tracking of your heading. Compass is equipped with a red lubber line for proper orientation. A rotating ratchet bezel with a double pointer for direction makes marking your heading and reciprocal heading quick and easy. Compass It’s a little bigger than it looks, but when underwater you’ll be glad it is.
All depths, all conditions Durable and luminous, Cressi does not disappoint. I have had no issues in all water conditions and down to 30 meters with this equipment. Well worth the investment.
Nothing special, but no complaints I recently switched from mostly diving on vacation with a divemaster to local dives with a buddy but no dive professional who knows the site intimately. That made me much less comfortable getting around with reckoning alone, so I wanted to add a basic compass to my gear. This does the trick, and at least once has enabled me to confidently correct a buddy who was headed out to sea in search of the shore. We would have been in for a truly unpleasant surface swim if the compass had been wrong or…
