Built on an American hero’s legacy. It wasn’t until half a century after he served, that Forged by War designer Austin McGlaun discovered his grandfather won the Silver Star at Point Du Hoc. To honor his service, he designed this colossal karambit fixed blade. With the help of Ryan Johnson of RMJ Tactical, it’s been perfected as a mission-inspired eye catcher from the tip of the recurved blade to the thumb ring at the end of the handle.

As a part of the Forged By War initiative, Austin’s design matched with Ryan’s expertise makes the Du Hoc a powerful tactical carry. An ominous 5″ carbon steel recurved blade—sharp on the nose and the belly—is balanced with a textured G10 handle. A thumb ring sits proudly atop the handle for an unbreakable traditional karambit-style grip.

With an intentionally-designed knife comes a secure, customizable sheath. Crafted of tough glass-reinforced nylon, ease of access and safety of draw is unmatched.

With a history like this one, the Du Hoc was practically born on the front line.

Great knife Impressive knife, looks and feels good in the hand, the quality of the manufacturing is pretty good and I like the finishing. The included sheath fits great and have a good retention. The one downside, they provided a belt attachment but no instructions whatsoever of how to attach the sheath to it! Still waiting for their customer service to help and will update my review then!!

BUY THIS CRKT!! I am absolutely happier than a pig in $(@(% !!!!The Du Hoc is a magnificent creation! The sheath is one of the best I have owned. I now look at kydex as if it is a cheap nylon.Retention is easily changed with the adjustment screw.I am not really partial to a “thumb ramp” , but this one flows awesomely.(Not a knuckle speed bump)As for the edge…..its a CRKT. I shouldn’t need to say more. The eye appeal is like inspecting a brand new M4.

MICHAEL L. BURNS says:

Lacking insructions with attachment tool No guidance how to attach the tool. Holes DO NOT line up as show on You Tube. Belt tool needed more angles. Like handle forward right side, blade end point up, not down.
