The M16 –SS EDC Series – A proven knife design platform made simple, made tough, and made affordable.

If you are a fan of the Kit Carson designed M16 tactical folding knives you are going to want to check out these stainless steel (SS) variations.

Handles are shaped and contoured in the same confident grip M16 style, but are crafted of a retro flavored stainless steel. Handles are all finished in a classic black oxide finish. These folders are available in several blade style options including cutting edge configurations, each with their own user advantages to offer. Blades also feature the Carson Flipper for quick and convenient blade actuation—and the flipper doubles as an effective blade guard in the open position. Blade lock up is secured through the traditional framelock mechanism.

The M16-SS EDC Series is a straight up, “no frills” every day carry folder design that kicks butt in pure performance and value.

Great slim knife!

Customer Video Review Length:: 0:16 Mins (Sorry for the noise on the video, I’m running Al6XN on a lathe)The perfect thin, light, strong, long clip edc knife I was looking for. Only thing I don’t like it the locking system. The height on the lock is the same height as the handle on opposite side so makes it annoying to push to unlock. There should be a higher lip on the lock or lower grove on the handle to make it easier. Other than that, I love it!

You’ll need to tune it to make it decent. Don’t make the mistake I made, you really want the M16-03KSThe M16-01S is smaller, and seems more cheaply made. I had to disassemble and tune this knife to get it close to what I wanted. First the lock up was too firm. And I don’t mean a bit, but I almost had to resort to tools to get it to unlock. Disassemble, bend, reassemble, ok, now it’s barely engaging. Disassemble, bend, reassemble, now it’s not as firm as it was, but still on the tough-side. I know my wife won’t be closing it…

Small and lightweight. Already own 2 large tactical Carson 4″ knives (a M16-14z and a M21-02G) . Ordered this one because it was cheap and added some variation to the collection. Was surprised that it was so tiny in comparison with the other knives. This is a manual knife, not spring assisted. So, opening requires a bit more effort but not much since it’s just a small blade. I did not find the blade pivot too tight or the blade too dull. Sharp enough to hurt you out of the box but like most blades…
