Glass is Great First, I must say that I think that there is almost always room for improvement with any product, so I am rather stingy in giving out 5 stars. Much better than other covers on the market I switched to glass covers, not liking to use plastic in the microwave. The other glass covers on the market are thin glass and the edges chip easily. Numerous times, I accidentally banged one against the microwave door and had to toss my food because of glass chards that came off of it. I finally replaced it with this and love how the glass is pyrex-ware thick snd strong. It feels like it would last forever like most pyrex glass dishes. Bit awkward — but extremely useful! These microwave glass lids are fabulous. Picture a heavy glass microwave turntable, as this is almost the same thing. Love the vent holes to let steam escape. You can use the large lid with a 2 qt glass bowl to make popcorn in the microwave. These are also useful as a general pot lid or even a makeshift trivet to protect your counter.One caveat.
