Instead of accidentally burning herself and having poor grip using a towel My grandma was using oven mitts and towels to grab hot dishes. I figured I’d get this for her to make her life a little easier. Instead of accidentally burning herself and having poor grip using a towel, this makes it much easier for her to grab hot dishes. It keeps the dish balanced and can grip large and heavy dishes with no problem.
Universal Kitchen Stainless Steel Foldable Hot Dish Plate Bowl Clip Works great to get hot dishes out of my Instant Pot pressure cooker! The dishes need to have some kind of rim, so the lifter can get under the rim. Some people have wrapped rubber bands around the part that comes into contact with the dish, but I think I’d go with a silicone wrapped lifter, if I wanted to go that route.
