Works Well For Young Kids My daughter wanted Walkie-Talkies for her birthday and my wife stumbled upon these as a great alternative to some of the toy options that are available. As another reviewer mentioned these do not work great in a more urban setting as we attempted to use them about a half a mile away and the connection was sporadic. They feel very rugged and have survived a few drops already. Overall my kids love them and they are great for them to use.

Great Little Radios!!! We love these lil blue guys! The reception has been pretty reliable in whatever situation we have used them in. We have used them for work around the house when communication is needed and also have used for fun with kids. No problems at all! Highly recommend.

Cute, but when how often am I on mountaintops? I bought these for my 9 year old daughter to use with her friends and also so I can communicate with her when she is playing outside. These are cute and work fine. However, buyers should be aware that you get less than mile range in an urban area. The 16-mile range only applies from mountaintop to mountaintop. In an urban area, the package states a range of up to .7 miles. I tested this in Brooklyn where they have about a 1/2 city block range–maybe a block if both people are outside.
