7 out of the 10 were defective. Got them, hooked them up to a 12v current and tested. 7 of them were resistors and only generated heat. No cold side. The other 3 worked ok, but a 70% failure rate isn’t ok. Returned for refund.
Poor packaging with some broken, a couple dead units The ones that work, worked well. Packaging was a plastic bag and a few of the ceramic parts were chipped and cracked. Two are dead on arrival, but I didn’t discover until past the return date. So I was only able to use half of them.
improved at 5 volts So i ordered these, and in knowing they were cheap, i expected a failure, i had 2 fail, but 8 worked fine. I can live with that as i required only 6 anyway. Tested at 12v, extreme heat build up causing Cold side to fade, wasn’t impressed. Tested at 5v, far better results, got much colder, and generated way less heat, one 40×40 heat sink, and a 40×40 fan kept the heat to a minimum, but produced that cold that i required. I will be installing these in to my PC to cool the Liquid cooling system…
