Label leaves permanent mark The plates are what I expected. What I did not expect is the smudge under the peel-off label that is etched on the plate and cannot be removed. Each plate has this smudge. Unfortunately I discovered this after I had discarded the packing material.
And I love the larger size dinner plates These dishes are lovely. I bought different size of the Dursley glass plates and bowls to replace an aging 30-year-old set of the same that was showing wear. The new versions are crystal clear and of the same durability. And I love the larger size dinner plates. Iâm very pleased.
Can’t get the sticker mark off The plates would be fine, except that they have stickers right in the middle. The stickers remove easily, but the mark does not. So far I’ve tried the dishwasher, Blue Dawn dish soap, and glass cleaner. The plates look almost as if the stickers have damaged the glass. There’s a cloudy patch where each sticker was–it’s not a gluey or sticky patch that could be removed with a hair dryer, peanut butter, or any trick I know. Looks like a greasy fingerprint right in the middle of each plate…
