Engel, the original patented high-performance cooler, is rotomolded for toughness and durability. Engel set the original standard for features and performance – while others have simply compromised. Engel’s are filled with innovation and features – lacking on many other coolers. The thick high density insulation helps retain the cold and make ice last as long as possible. The non-skid lid is re-inforced to not delaminate or go soft like knock-off’s. The lid is also designed to be strong enough to be used as a step or seat. The integrated full length hinge is ultra-rugged and self stopping – another Engel innovation. The premium silicon gasket creates an airtight seal and will never lose it’s shape – while all our competators use cheap rubber. Optional recessed stainless steel adjustable latches are available and sold separately – another Engel exclusive!

We really like this volume ( you need a lot more than you think if you have to add ice and cooler packs), the only complain I have is I wish this was the same height as the 65 so you could pack more efficiently.
Great value, excellent performance! Great value for a rotomolded cooler. Just returned from a 5 day trip with plenty of ice left over. This was my first nice cooler. After a lot of research, decided on Engel over Canyon, Yeti, Orca and Pelican. Do yourself a favor, if you spend this much on a cooler, research how to pack it properly. Pre-chill, blocks v cubes, ice to contents ratio, etc. Just get on YouTube. The first time I used it, I was disappointed with the ice retention but it totally user error. Really happy with it now…
THE BEST COOLER, SERIOUSLY. The best cooler out there. Performance being the most important, Engel was beyond my expectations. I could go 5+ days easily with 10 pounds of ice in 95° no shade heat. Kept my beer and all my temperature sensitive foods frosty cold. When restocking fresh food and new ice, there was always a couple of handfuls of ice remaining. Before leaving on your camping trip always pre cool with a large bag of ice. Then always reload with cold food and beer. That way minimal ice will melt. Try not to…
