Unmatched Combination of Comfort, Durability, and Value! The Estwing Black Eagle Tomahawk is a great piece of gear at a great price! I rate items in accordance with the price I paid, and $35 for this hawk is a great value. The cutting edge was sharp, the spike not so much, which is better for heavy duty puncturing jobs. The entire hawk is one piece of steel, so the head and handle are not going to separate or break apart unless very severely abused. This tool should outlast most other hawks. Outstanding I actually really love this tomahawk. I first saw it at a Lowes store awhile ago but didn’t need it. I bought this because I spend a lot of time outdoors making survival shelters, throwing knives, and US Naval Sea Cadet Corps trainings. I plan on doing an update after Navy SERE school in Maine.
