Good for single filter systems For the money, these filters work really well. I bought the 5 micron ones because it removed the right amount of sediment (typically rust from our well) while making sure that the water flow isn’t reduced. We only have a one-phase system so it’s the right level of filtration, we feel. The only mission now is to catch these on sale. It appears that they’re all made in China and anyone can place their logo on them so price + delivery time should be the only task here.

Great Filters for the Cost These sediment water filter cartridges seem to be an excellent buy. When compared to the more expensive ones I have seen they appear to be virtually identical in form and function. I can’t speak to how long they’ll last as I plan on changing them out once per month. I’m using them in a very old well (100 y/o or so) with casing on its last legs. So far so good. I don’t believe that the more expensive filter cartridges would perform any better. The material composition is the same and they…

Very good basic sediment filter I use this filter on my whole house sediment system in order to filter out the iron in my well. It works very well and the price is excellent. The only negative is that the instructions state that water should be run for approximately 10 minutes after installation. I interpret this to possibly mean that this filter is not rated “food grade.” For me, that isn’t a problem because I use a Reverse Osmosis system for all of our drinking water and cooking, but it might be for others.
