Kanken was launched in 1978 to spare the backs of school children. Back problems had begun to appear in increasingly younger age groups and shoulder bags were popular. Kanken has many simple, clear functions. The backpack soon became a common sight at pre-schools and nature schools around the country. The idea of using a backpack quickly spread, as did Kanken. It is just as popular today, and an excellent choice for school, outings or biking to work. Kanken is made out of durable, lightweight Vinyl on F. The large main compartment with a large opening makes it easy to put in/take out items. Two side pockets and a zippered pocket in the front. Handle at the top, narrow, supple shoulder straps, sitting pad in the pocket in the back and logo that doubles as a reflector.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS RETAILER I am writing this review for any potential buyers from this retailer. These are counterfeit bags, and do not let the promising reviews of possible authenticity fool you. Counterfeiters are getting so much better at mimicking the real deal. Amazon is not an approved retailer on Fjallraven’s online site. As soon as I got the bag, I could tell it was cheaply made by the excess fabric and sloppy stitching inside (they should feel and look expertly sewn). A lot of the details were accurate…

Fake! Please be aware 🙂 I got this bag at the very beginning of the school year, and I thought it was authentic after checking the reviews and it seemed safe. Nobody at my school had a kanken, so I’ve been using it for majority of the school year without too much of a problem. It’s now March, and some of my friends have also pitched a kanken, yet…. theirs is actually authentic. Everything my backpack has is a very impressive copy, such as the reflective logo, the zippers, the “H” stitching and labels…

Tips to tell if your Kanken is real. When I first saw the reviews I was hesitant to buy this because the amount of people saying they got a fake bag, but I bit the bullet and prayed to get a real bag, which I did. If you can tell the difference between a real Kanken and a fake Kanken then it’s up to you if you want to buy this, if not Urban Outfitters is a good resaler for the Fjallraven Kanken but the colors are limited, if you are looking for a more broad color range, the Fjallraven website is the way to go if you don’t trust…
