Stylish. Comfortable. Functional. (RUN A TAD LARGE). LOVE these boots. I bought them for an anticipated trip to Banff Ntl Park and wanted something stylish that I could wear around town yet function well while hiking. They do run a tad large. I’m normally an average 7, but ordered a 6.5 per REI’s recommendation on their website, but I think I could have gone down to a 6, even, but wasn’t worth exchanging. Traction is great. Haven’t tested the waterproof abilities yet. No break-in period needed. Can’t wait to get great use out of these…

Traveling boot turned every day boot! Edit: September 2018: About 6 months post-purchase and these boots are impeccable. I’ve hiked/walked roughly 300 miles since purchase. Streams, rocks, roots, terrain — absolutely awesome performance. I still love these boots, will be a customer for life. Heck, I wear them out with jeans occasionally just because. Highly recommend still.I purchased these boots right before heading on a two week excursion in the Amazon jungle in Peru. 100% these boots are worth the cost for the…

I would recommend going down a half size, as the 6.5s were a little too big even with thick socks on, so they rub on my heels and gave me blisters on longer hikes. If you downsize, you shouldn’t have a problem with blisters as long as you lace them up tight.Wish there was some arch support, but for shorter hikes, they’re…
