They are sturdy, comfortable, but annoying to put on. I hike year ’round, several times a week, plus live in the mts. I bought these boots specifically for hiking. I wear a 71/2 in women’s boots and a 61/2 in men’s. These fit perfectly with medium thermal socks and are very comfortable. No break-in time. I’ve worn these 8 mos in all kinds of weather. Almost a great light-weight boot. I like the light weight feature of these boots. But this design cries out for metal eyelets so can be pulled thru more easily. The holes are barely large enough as it is and the laces just won’t pull thru well. I am going to eyelet these myself as I like the boots but need to get in and out of them more easily. With such a soft counter, unless you unlace enough to loosen boot, it is difficult to get them on and off. A word-please eyelet this boot. Customers will be much happier!
