Frigidaire genuine replacement filter ULTRAWF is a push-push filter designed for use on all French door model refrigerators. It is designed to eliminate odors and provide up to six months of crystal, clean water.

These take a LOT of purging Normally, these filters work fine but I got a “bad” one. When I inserted it and it went through its air purge routine, there were black bits of something that showed up in the initial water stream. I ran the normal 10 pitchers of water to get rid of that “baking soda” aftertaste that is present with new filters – but this one took about 15 pitchers. Even after the taste was OK, the water remained cloudy – Really unappealing. I discarded it and inserted a second filter…
Tampered with. Sold as new. I opened the package and inspected the item. This item was sold as new, but clearly was tampered with. See the photos. The seam of my old filter has a clean line and the number matches up with the guiding rail. The replacement I just received looks like it was cut and glued back together. Fake Frigidaire filter – buyer beware. Be very skeptical of the positive reviews here. This is a knockoff Frigidaire water filter; it is not authentic. When I received the filter I noticed some strange font inconsistencies on the box. When I looked closer I saw that the box was riddled with grammatical and punctuation errors. I went and read the existing one star reviews and saw numerous complaints of poor performance or bad tastes from the filter, so I decided to buy an authentic filter from another store.
