Frigidaire’s WF2CB PureSource2 Ice and Water filtration system is the replacement filter for part numbers FC-100 or FC100, WF2CB, SWF2CB, NGFC 2000, NGFC2000, and NGFC-2000. It is also the replacement for Kenmore part numbers 46-9911, 9911, and 9916 for Kenmore refrigerators manufactured by Frigidaire. This filter fits all front-cassette models of Frigidaire refrigerators. It reduces chlorine taste and odor as well as sediment and removes 99 percent of cysts, lead, and turbidity, but it does not remove fluoride. It features slide-in-and-out technology for easy replacement. It’s recommended that users replace the filter every nine months. Rated Capacity – 200 gallons (757 Litres) without an indicator light.

I received a defective unit I’ve been replacing my fridge’s water filter myself for the last few years now, and this is the first time I received a defective item. After removing the old filter and inserting the new one, there was no water flow from the dispenser. I put the old one back and the flow came back on. On examining the new filter (see photo), I noticed that it was missing a plastic tab on one of the inlets. It appears that this tab is needed to trigger the flow of water. Bought before and was fine but just got replacement and after running for around … Bought before and was fine but just got replacement and after running for around 10 gallons the water is snow white compared to clear tap water. Not sure if it is safe but really frustrating it seems i will have to use half of the filters life just to get it primed.After doing some research i figured out that the o ring seals were covered in white grease that was going into the water. Read this review before purchasing I felt compelled to write a review about this product so nobody else has to go through the annoyance that I went through.
