Good beach shade! This worked pretty well for privacy and shade at the beach in So Cal. I was able to put it up while holding my baby in an Ergobaby carrier. It bent a little as the late afternoon progressed and it got windier. See the pic to see what I mean. And it wasn’t because my stuff was on the inside because it was still bending like that when I emptied the tent to pack up. The stakes worked well, we didn’t use/need the sand bags. Overall it was easy set up and take down. I wish it had a zipper closure…
Never had such a luxury of privacy ..,, on beach before Oh my gosh Never had experience of such a luxury of privacy , protection from sun burn , ability spend HOURS COMFORTABLE on beach before . Tent Is NOT huge how some people claimed here . Tent is big enough to feel comfortable ( taking nap for example ) two adults + one child . My husband is tall 6.2 and he fits perfectly . Pops up before you know it. The first time we set up the beach tent was on a very windy day. However, once we placed sand in the attached pockets, the tent did not move, despite the wind bending the actual tent. The extra sand bags provided were not needed. I like the flow-through option with flaps on the front and back. The infants slept comfortably inside, away from the blowing sand. The trick with all of these beach tents is how to close them.
