Light weight alternative to aluminum decked table. I have a number of tables. I fly/drive so I am weight limited and am usually camped for a week to ten days. My Coleman table, while sturdy, is heavy, and I am pushing the 50lb weight limit on my duffel. I purchased this table as well as a smaller light weight aluminum decked one with a similar base, which I use for cooking. This is great little table This is great little table. Light weight, quick and easy to set up and take down. It can roll up to attach to my quad copter backpack and unfold to hold all my gear.
Versatile and can be use for cooking This little table (the larger one they offer) is easy to set up and take down. Considering the materials and weight it is acceptably sturdy. It’s easy to assemble and take apart. I cut some aluminum sheet that was on hand and use it on top of the fabric, so heat related damage has not been an issue. Any thin gauge aluminum sheet will work for this. When traveling, I place the sheet on a flat surface of my car so that it does not get bent up. It functions perfectly well as my kitchen table.
