it is nothing like the original My much beloved Gerber multi-tool that I purchased in 1995 recently broke. I bought the Gerber Compact Sport Multi Plier 400 to replace it. Unfortunately, it is nothing like the original. It is cheap, cumbersome, and pliers donât slide out in one quick release motion that I had grown accustomed to. The only slightly positive thing I can say is that at least it wasnât really expensive.
i like the ease i like the ease, functionality, look and construction of this tool I carry it in my EDC bag and use at least once or twice a day. The scissors are on the small size and it would be a challenge to use in an emergency. That would be the only thing i wish they could change on it.The black smudging was a complaint by many – but if the item was wiped down with a cloth then it doesn’t become an issue anymore.
Solid design I used to have the stainless version before I lost it. I tried a Gerber Suspension but didn’t like it as much, so I ordered this black Compact Sport. I’m a big fan of the slide out plier design. It’s a very solid design and yet very compact. I like this design for carrying in my pocket.
