Like the men and women who carry our gear, Gerber is unstoppable. Decades of innovation and dedication have put us here. Renowned as a master of knives and tools, Gerber’s problem-solving, life-saving products are designed with the unique needs of specific activities in mind. Today that includes much more than a blade.

Famed for its patented Gator Grip handle, the Gerber Gator fixed fine edge knife has no peer when it comes to all-out grip. The inner core of the handle is constructed of glass-filled nylon, and then the Santoprene rubber is chemically bonded to it to create a soft, tactile grip over a very strong structure. The 4.5-inch drop point blade is made from 440HC Stainless Steel, and it comes with a durable sheath made of ballistic nylon with a molded plastic insert. Its handle also includes a lanyard hole. The Gator measures 9.5 inches overall, and it weighs 5.4 ounces. Backed by a limited lifetime warranty.

Feels great in the hand…cuts all day long… While I love the overall design of this knife, the ergonomic grip is the reason I own more than one of the Gerber Gator fixed blade. Very sharp right out of the package. Lightweight. Easy to sharpen. Excellent grip! One last thing…I have had zero issues with the heavy-duty nylon sheath that comes with the knife. The design and materials make this knife and sheath perfect for wet-weather situations. Note however that the spine is not sharp enough for ferro rod use…you will want to…

Great blade at this price. This knife has all the characteristics I was looking for, except the sheath. The blade the right length for a multipurpose knife. The handle is pliable and the hand sinks in a bit. It is not the least bit slippery. The factory edge was pretty good but not perfect. Literally 30 seconds on a ceramic hone and it was shaving hairs off my arm.The sheath is not terrible, but I can do better with something custom made from kydex. I will be buying several of these for family. Hunters and…

This is a great knife at the $40 price point and I do not think anyone will beat that for a USA made fixed blade. The sheath uses a little bit of tension as it is sunk into the sheath a bit and also a retainer strap with snap closure, I like this a lot but it does take some controlled effort to remove…
