do NOT buy this dinnerware Sure, the other reviews mentioned the back of the plate was unglazed, but they didn’t mention thata) it will scratch your countertop.. even a granite countertopb) if you leave the dishes on a wood surface — even for as little as 15 or 20 minutes – when you pick up the dish you will have a water ring where the dish wasc) even stacking the dishes… when you go to unstack them, each dish below the top one will have water on the surfaced) don’t dare have other dishes next…
Great Look at Value Price The pattern is beautiful and compliments my mcm/scandi design theme. The weight of each dish/bowl is surprisingly light given it’s stoneware. The colors are dark brown, medium grey and winter white with speckles that give the impression of holes. Have used in both the microwave and dishwasher with no issues. About the only complaint is that fork marks (mars) will show and cannot be scrubbed off – probably a result of the glazing process. Using Barkeeper’s Friend powder removes the scuffs…
Unglazed pottery on bottom does not dry out. I do not recommend them. These are such pretty dishes. I love the colors and the organic shape. However, they don’t dry properly so when you take them out of the cupboard, there is moisture on them. Even when I run them through the dishwasher and the entire drying cycle, they still have “sweat” on them when I take them out to use them. This really only happens with the dinner plates and dessert plates. I think it is because, when stacked, they fit tightly with no air flow between them. My guess is that…
