Excellent for Kombucha. Seals Perfectly. I purchased 24 of these grolsch style bottles for bottling kombucha. They work perfectly.Pros:- Extra thick glass. I haven’t had any bottles rupture from pressure and I’ve had a couple batches with a lot of carbonation in the 2nd ferment.- The stainless nozzle on the fits perfectly inside the bottle mouth.- The body of the bottle is tapered downward just…
Nice tops, Cheap glass. The bottles came in what seems to be decent packaging, as they were all separated with cardboard and put in bubble wrap. After pulling the bubble wrap sleeves off, I began to notice that there were some very large defects(Large bubbles, sharp edges) on some of the bottles, while all of them have quite a few minor defects(small bubbles, embedded particles). In 5 out of the 6 cases that I bought, there were 2 bottles in each that i could not use because they had cracks, which seemed to be stress…
It’s a gamble now, hit or miss Bottles are of different brand and caps are different as well over time.First sets of bottles had orange seals, they were alright. No significant problems, no broken bottles. This was around April 2017Then they turned red, were much better. This continued from ~November 2018 through February 2018Now, March 2018, they’re red, but they’re absolutely awful. It’s upsetting since we ordered 60 in one go this time, and they all have bad caps. I’ve had to bend the wires…
