Great table set for camping Solid table set for camping. Not sure what others found wrong with it unless they were expecting to use it to replace their china. The finish has a bump in it here and there but we’ve used these for ten days of camping over the course of this summer and they’ve held up fine. No chipping or rusting so far. Our previous set like this lasted 30 years until most of the pieces were lost or destroyed by extreme misuse. This set seems to be of similar quality.
Maybe…. While this is far nicer than Colman’s collection of enamel campware, it still is not as nice as the ones I grew up with. There were more than a few bubbles, and a couple of chips, and a few dents. Not bothersome enough to return it. But concerning because it is supposed to be new and kind of spendy for everything I found wrong. It is also a lot lighter than other kinds I have held. Somewhat disappointed but will keep them for camping . . . Ordered enough for full settings for 8 people. We have a big family and I hate eating on paper plates, let alone throwing them away. Out of the box the disappointment was due to some of the stainless steel rims on the plates were loose (3 plates). Also, there were some spots where the enamel didn’t cover very well (2 cups).I didn’t want to send back the entire set of 4 servings then simply get another set with the same problems so I contacted the manufacturer: GSI.
