Durable and lightweight It was very hard to find a non-glass mug that was microwavable. We didn’t want glass in our camper, but needed coffee mugs that can handle both hot coffee and microwaving. This does it all and cleans easily, since it’s really hard plastic, not the soft stainable type. The colors are vibrant and fun. I also like this green one because it was cheaper than the other colors even though it is exactly the same mug.
Very Light, Very Tough Incredibly light, but very durable. One thing to consider: it doesn’t hold heat to contents for very long. I use this for hiking and backpacking and in those situations don’t normally linger a long time over coffee so it’s great, but if you want to slowly sip your hot beverage be aware this may not be your cup. If you’re looking for a light weight, quality cup for outdoor use though, this is IT.
Sturdy & Attractive Mugs I purchased these mugs to replace pink plastic picnic mugs that I’ve had for many years. After all this time, the handles started to break off of most of them. I thought the Cascadian mugs were the same size, but they were more squatty than tall, which I was used to. I was very pleased, though, to find that they contained the exact amount of liquid, 14 oz. They seem to be extremely sturdy, and I don’t think the handles will break off, especially since I’m not using scalding hot water in my…
