Sturdy & Attractive Mugs I purchased these mugs to replace pink plastic picnic mugs that I’ve had for many years. After all this time, the handles started to break off of most of them. I thought the Cascadian mugs were the same size, but they were more squatty than tall, which I was used to. I was very pleased, though, to find that they contained the exact amount of liquid, 14 oz. Arthritis and spinal injuries will appreciate the lightweight and design of this mug! I could not love this mug more! For those of us with arthritic and spinal problems, it is as light weight as it could be, while effectively heating liquids in a microwave and still not being burned by the outside of the mug. The curved bottom of the handle is perfect to steady it in your hand. I even love the color.
Why all the bad reviews? Bought this cup as a bang around mug to take to work as I work third shift and needed something cheap yet shatterproof for daily transportation. I honestly do not know why there are so many recent bad reviews. The mug is decently sized for a regular coffee mug, it’s made of decent enough plastic that I don’t burn my hands when I touch it after pouring a hot drink, and it hasn’t broken despite being attached to a grimlock hook on the outside of my backpack.
