Awesome! I bought this for my daughter’s Girl Scout … Awesome! I bought this for my daughter’s Girl Scout camping trip the weekend April 1, 2016 – April 3, 2016 and she loved it! I purchased the blue set and it’s exactly like the picture. It’s a great purchase. Unfortunately, because my daughter is often irresponsible she lost the lid for the hot/cold cup; so my husband took it and is using it for his personal “I just gotta get away” camping trips and he loves it!!!!
Great set for adults too! I see a lot of people reviewing this as a mess kit for their children in Boy Scouts. I just wanted to weigh in and say that it is a great choice for adults too. I bought it to use for overnight hikes and outings in the woods. I liked the bag feature, as I clipped it to the outside of my pack. The utensils are plastic, but are very thick and sturdy. I can’t imagine them breaking with average use. The knife works well for cutting and I’ve even cut meat with it. I’ve used the bowl for hot soup and…
Good mess set for camp. This is a good set for camping. I bought it for Girl Scout camp and was glad it included the insulated coffee mug with lid. I also really liked the included lid for the bowl as that allowed me to cover it and wash it later. The ditty bag however, could use some work. If you use it as a wash bag, the bottom holds a lot of moisture since it’s solid fabric instead of mesh. I’d give five stars if the whole bag was mesh for better function or perhaps if there was a string on the bottom to hang it…
