Some do not work For the ones that work properly, they are excellent. However, I received 4 out of the 32 that will not lock down. The locking mechanism turns, but there is apparently a defect in which there isn’t enough pressure to keep the slide locked. If those 4 worked properly, I would have given the product 5 stars. I was expecting a class set of 32, not 28. Another teacher in my school ordered this same set and also had some that didn’t work properly.

I would not recommend these to anyone I bought these to replace my older safety compasses because they had the locking mechanism. As soon as I took them out of the bag and gave them to my students, 4 of them fell apart! My students didn’t have time to use them even once! Another one broke after a couple of uses. So all in all I paid $30+ dollars for safety compasses that didn’t even last a class period. I would not recommend these to anyone!!!

Worst Compasses I have ever used! I bought these for my classroom thinking that I would use my own money to invest in a quality product for my students to use. DO NOT BUY THESE! As the other review noted, some of these will come broken! I had eight of mine arrive not being able to lock. There is a huge design flaw in these and when I took one apart to find the problem, it is obvious that they are cheap garbage. For a well known company, they missed the mark here and I can’t stress enough to buy elsewhere! Even the ones that…
