decent magazine the articles seem pretty good, I’ve only read a couple of issues so far. Photography is good, reviews of firing tests are fine, nothing seems unusual here. Nice range of handguns reviewed, revolvers, sem-autos, different calibers, etc. There’s been a “tips” article on better shooting or for competition or maintenance, and an article or two on features to look for in a special-situation carry. I plan to get a subscription. My only complaint is this is a bi-monthly, not monthly…

Covers All Look Alike Gun magazines have never been very helpful. They’re written and published by people more interested in the advertising buck ($$$). When the “review” is on page 26 and a half page ad by the same company/product is on page 37, I don’t imagine we’ll ever see a negative review. Another problem is that every month there’s another plastic gun that looks just like the one on the cover of the previous issue!Another problem with gun reviews is that they appear to be published with templates…

I bought this subscription for my father for Christmas last year. I placed the order correctly as a gift with his address as the recipient. I received the first two issues at my home.
