Depth, Temperature, Fish, Light… The Handheld Sonar System FX is the most versatile handheld marine tool ever produced. Not only will it produce instant depth readings from 2.5 to 199 Feet (.7 to 60 M), in 1/10th precision, but at the flip of a switch the display will give real time temperature (water or air) and fish readings. SideScan Fish Detecting Sonar – There is no guessing where the drop-offs are or where the fish are hiding. One flip of the switch allows you to scan an area for drop-offs, ledges, or hiding fish within 199 Feet (61 Meters). High Output L.E.D. Flashlight: Another flip of the switch will illuminate the high output Xenon light. Use it to see underwater while diving, find channel markers at night while boating, or attract fish while night fishing.

Great find! We have read about this depth finder to have as a spare as it came highly recommended from Active Captain. We have received the product and though we have not yet used it we feel sure it will help us out on our trawler when the waters shallow and cannot get a reading on the boat mounted model. We plan to use this on our little runabout as well. Well made product with great features.

Purchased this for a backup for the main depth sounder … Purchased this for a backup for the main depth sounder and to use in the dinghy to chart the bottom of shallow anchorages. I tested this in the slip and used it to calibrate the depth setting on the depth sounder mounted on my boat. Flash light is bright. Not sure that I will remember how to activate the SOS function when the time comes. Maybe a SOS hint on the handle would help. Not sure where I will put the lenses, probably in the ditch bag. Overall a very solid well built item.

Bad placement for display Display located in bad location. Almost have to lay down on ice to read.
