Easy to assemble but I wish it were a bit more sturdy This wooden display rack was well packed, arrived on time and was undamaged. It was very easy to assemble and will work well to display the plates I wanted to display.My only concerns are that the dowel pegs that hold the dishes are just kind of loosely sitting in the cross piece. Seems like a snugger fit would be preferable so that they don’t just fall out when plates are removed from the rack. The dowel pegs are also thinner that I would like. Not Ideal We purchased this in order to display antique plates at a show. The first thing that happened is, because the spaces are so narrow, the plates stand up too vertically, and if bumped or jostled in the least, they all fall forward in a sort of domino effect. We ended up taking out every other dowel row, in order to lean the plates more backward, which gave the array more stability. However, then we were unable to display very many plates in the rack. Terrible smell and assembly issues I am returning this product for two reasons: (1) the wood frame and pegs have a pungent chemical smell. Even assuming this might dissipate, see the second problem; (2) the product requires assembly, but the pegs do not fit into the holes drilled into the long slots.
