Nice boots, but they run quite small These are really nice hiking boots, but they run small. My daughter typically wears a 1.5, so I got her a size 2 hoping she would be able to grow into them and have them for a little while. But, even the 2 was too small for her. We are exchanging for a larger size. But, they are a nice weight and should work well for her school camping trips.

Not waterproof! Not warterproof so would not recommend. We are avid mountain hikers and usually buy another brand for our sons, but we thought we’d go with with one for this time. Bad choice. when going through small streams (water went about toe deep max), the shoes got wet. When you advertise waterproof we expect waterproof… Especially when you rely on dry feet for multi-day hikes. Would not recommend.

Not Waterproof Overall my 13-year old son likes this boot. It’s comfortable and has good grip. However, it it NOT waterproof. In fact, it is not even particularly water-resistant. This is his 5th or 6th pair of hiking boots over a period of as many years, and these are by far the least waterproof. They get soaked just walking through tall, wet grass for 30 minutes. We know, of course, that the claim “waterproof” for boots is almost never true, even for Goretex, and we didn’t expect “actually…
