Don’t waste your $$ on attractively priced trash Garbage boots. What happened Hi-Tec? You used to bring decent quality at affordable prices, now you’re just cheap. I had a pair of these boots for six months and the upper started to separate from the bottom part of one of the boots. I called the service number from the Hi-Tec website and was told by someone at Falcon footwear to fill out a form and send the boots in for a review at my expense (shipping) to a third party footwear vendor (Eastman). Who knows who owns who at this point…
Another great boot from Hi-Tec (see “UPDATE” in my review) I used to wear Hi-Tec boots all of the time years ago but for some reason I moved away from them. Well, I’m back! These fit perfectly, are comfortable, and completely waterproof. I have about 15 miles on them already and absolutely no problems. Cheap laces, cheap lace hooks Poor quality laces are a minor detail, but mine did shred quickly. Otherwise, a solid pair of boots, as I hoped.***UPDATE***Less than six months into owning these boots, not even wearing them every day, the lace hook snapped off on the right side of the left boot, preventing it from lacing up the ankle at all.
