Store holiday dinnerware safely in this cotton canvas storage chest from Household Essentials. This chest is designed to hold 12 salad plates and/or bowls with a maximum diameter of 9.5 inches each. It is red in color with green trim and the front panel has a clear see-through window to allow the contents to be seen. Felt protectors are provided that slide in between the plates for up to a set of 12. Two handles on the side are attached by rivets and can support weight up to 25lbs. Works great for me! This storage box for some extra dinner wear is exactly what I wanted. It’s well made, and and plates fit perfectly inside. I love the clear viewing piece on the front of it, so I can easily see which set of dishes is inside. The handles make it easy to pick up and move from one place to another.
High quality and very attractive storage for fine china! Quality AND Attractive! Perfect for storing my great-grandmother’s 12 1/2″ dinner plates. This tweed-like cotton/poly sturdy-weight box comes with a matching heavyweight bottom insert, felt plate disks which are somewhat smaller than the plate but adequate enough to protect each plate, and a matching heavy-weight tight-fitting lid. I was leery about picking this box up by fabric handles, but it was very secure.
Nice I purchased this box a while back and finally cleaned out the shed and got the dishes in and put in this box for storage inside the house. It is easy to see where my Christmas dishes are now 😉 I have a 12 piece place setting and the dinner dishes and cups fit in the box. I will be ordering more so I can put the whole set in these boxes. Love the color, it will be easy to see where the Christmas dishes are. Sturdy enough where I will not worry about breakage.
