This size is great at a desk or on long car/camping trips, too big to carry on the go daily. The lid is spill proof, not leak proof. If this bottle tips upside down in bags, or you shake it upside down, drops of water will come out. Also, because it is not a true vacuum seal like the regular lids, ice doesn’t last a full 24 hours…but ice will last about 12. Check the measurement of the diameter, it is larger than some standard cup holders in cars. Also, if you have small hands you will have a hard time gripping the bottle and will have to use the lid handle when carrying it. This…
Hydro Flasks are amazing, but mine has a (maybe) defective cap? I really love Hydro Flasks, and this one is no exception – EXCEPT – the straw.I used a friend’s in Hawaii and it was great, so I ordered this when I returned home and both included straws — or perhaps the cap — have or has an air leak. When trying to drink from the bottle, I get way too much air and barely any water. I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong or if my cap is defective, but I’d beware buying this model with this particular cap.
Customer service goes a long way The straw lid sucks. Lots of air flowing through it. Not alot of water flowing through it. Doesn’t work when bottle is 3/4 empty (or 1/4 full for that matter).
