When this arrived, I immediately took the old plastic … When this arrived, I immediately took the old plastic broken hinges off and replaced them with these. Thanks for having a product that works, and now my Igloo Cooler will last a long, long time. Won’t have to worry that the lid will come off. The company should have installed these hinges on it when it was manufactured. Use my Cooler when I travel, and also when I deer hunt. Clean it out every time I use it, and when finished, always put a long strip of paper toweling inside to keep it…
fits older cooler I have a 165 qt igloo cooler that i’ve had about six years and it has spent many hours in the hot sun on the atlantic ocean. .The original hinges made of some type of plastic have cracked and needed to replaced. Ordered these stainless steel replacement hinges and they fit perfectly. For about 20.00 dollars it’s a no brainer unless you want to spend a lot on a new cooler this size. MAKE SURE TO KEEP YOUR LID STRAPS IN PLACE These are good quality hinges. They fit well and were easy to install. That said, I have a caveat.The old plastic hinges are, relative to these, flimsy. I suspect they were made so for a purpose. If your lid straps are missing and you or the wind or a rug rat push the lid too far back the plastic hinges will break. These hinges will not. Instead they will rip the mounting screws out of the cooler. You can make a repair, but it will be ugly.
