You’ll throw away your old groove joints. I’ve had these for a while and love them, bought a set for my dad after he used mine and was impressed. Very sturdy, much sturdier than your typical groove joints, Much finer adjustment of size, simple to adjust, and you can open the pliers all the way and they don’t slip to a different groove. 100 times better than old school.
Money well spent! I got these after I borrowed a larger pair from a co-worker and saw how easily they adjusted and how well they gripped pipe.
