Not carbon steel, nor “forged” Not forged per the description, nor is it carbon steel (30 minutes of yellow mustard on the blade resulted in zero patina). The sides and spine of the blade appear to be painted (you can see a tape line) with some sort of texturized paint to make it look “forged.” The steel looks pretty cheap, and I am guessing it wont hold much of an edge, or stand up to heavy use as it has a severely convex grind. I must say the sheath is pretty nice though. Thick saddle leather. And the handle is nicely…
