It looks like a quality made product It looks like a quality made product, very impressed. I of course tried to use it (against recommendations) with my 18 volt dewalt. It did ok, the auger drilled well, but could only get 3 holes (90) inches of ice on a battery. I Went out and purchased the recommended 20 volt ion drill 3 days later, unfortunately the ice went bad before the weekend so I didn’t get a chance to try it again. Sure am anxious to go out next year with it though!

Not cheap, but best auger setup on the market. Outstanding product. A friend has one that he has used for three years now, so I was certain I was getting a good product. The company says that a 1/2″ cordless drill must have over 700 in/lbs of torque to operate this auger. That is pretty accurate. I did manage to use a 500 in/lbs rated drill, but it struggled. The Milwaukee Fuel brushless model with 1000+ in/lbs turns it really well and makes quick work of drilling holes through 12″-18″ of ice. My gas auger won’t keep up with…

My $25.00 8in, teflon coated, folding scoop doesn’t fit in the hole. I paid for an 8in auger not a 7in. It appears the company is fraudulently selling & advertising an auger less than the stated diameter. You don’t hear anything about the diameter descrepency in their video either. I would not have purchased this drill had I known it was less than 8in. Now I hear they are…
