Does not fit into socket Like many other reviews on here, this did not fit into the socket of my fridge. The model numbers on this filter and the OEM that I purchased directly from Sears are exactly the same. However, the OEM has a date of 2016 on the bottom part of the label while this one says 2011. The shape of the top part of the filter is different between the two as well. It’s definitely a horrible knock off. Disappointed.

Beware! Have been buying these filters for a while and never had a problem til now…..installing was a problem because filter parts did not line up with cartridge compartment….luckily a friend was able to twist the cartridge and make it fit….the second cartridge in the package is also misaligned so hope it will be useable when filter needs to be be replaced….and the price for the two pack had been raised quite a bit…..

NOT GENUINE KENMORE AS ADVERTISED !!!! I purchased FOUR of these filters last year (2016) thinking they were 100% Genuine Kenmore as advertised. Today we went to replace our “old” filter in our Sears refrigerator. When removing the NEW (unused?) replacement filter from it’s box, water started trickling out ?? Quite a bit. What the heck ?? Are these USED ?? After flushing as required, we used a water checker. It was like 118 and out straight out of the sink “tap water” was 123. Too bad it’s way too late to return…
