Small Axes like this were carried by many Eastern Longhunters and were popular from the French & Indian War period up through the early 19th century. Our hand-forged head, with its typical flat hammer poll and oblong eye, is 4-1/2″ long with a 2″ blade, making it a handy camp tool as well as a formidable weapon that was often carried on the belt or attached to the shooting bag.
