In addition to a drop-point blade with just the right amount of belly recurve for excellent slicing ability, the black Clash also has partial serration so that it can laugh at tough materials like webbing or rope. The blade steel is 8Cr13MoV for toughness, wear resistance, and excellent edge retention. The steel is precision heat-treated to bring out its high-performance characteristics. Black oxide coating enhances corrosion resistance and provides a great, non-reflective look. The black Clash opens with ease and authority thanks to Kershaw’s SpeedSafe assisted opening system. A simple pull back on the flipper and SpeedSafe opens the knife super-smoothly and easily. The Perfect Everyday Carry! I bought this knife to replace a Spyderco I had for about a year and a half and loved dearly. This knife was less expensive so I wasn’t expecting it to be as good but man did it deliever! I use this knife as an everday carry and weather it’s opening packages, cutting an annoying thread, or even cutting a piece of fruit this knife does not disappoint! Superb quality as expected Awesome knife. Kershaw has yet to disappoint (I doubt they ever will) and this knife is no exception. Blade needed sharpened out of the box but the point was razor. Serration was sharp too. A quick pass with a stone and this knife cuts everything I throw at it. It’s sturdy, obviously well-made, and for the price point I can’t find anything to complain about. Definitely a great buy.
