The streamlined Filter is a rugged looking everyday carrier with machined good looks and smooth function. Complementing the all-steel design is a handsome, non-reflective black-oxide BlackWash finish, giving the Filter a unique well-worn look that helps to hide general wear and tear and improves resistance to corrosion. The 3.2” blade is crafted from high-performance 4Cr14 steel, making it highly stain resistant. The stainless steel handle is finished with the same coating, giving the knife a uniform look front to back. Equipped with SpeedSafe opening technology, the Filter can be quickly and easily operated safely with one hand. A secure frame lock keeps the blade open during use and allows for easy closure for storage. The Filter includes a deep-carry pocketclip for a comfortable, discreet carry. Perfectly at home in machine shops, factories, warehouses, construction sites and garages, the Filter is a masterful tool for every worker.

Nice knife at a cheap price I really like this knife. It’s sturdy, has a decent balance, and a nice heft. Great edge from the factory, and an almost stonewashed finish. The pocket/belt clip works great in jeans pockets. My only complaint is the opening assist. Using the “Speedsafe” is a breeze, and a nice design. However, open the blade with the thumb knob can prove to be unnerving. My thumb falls to the sharpened edge of the blade as the knife snaps open. The speedsafe action is more fun anyway.

Not to impressed. Not my favorite knife. The thumb stud came really stiff. My knife did not come sharp. In fact none of kershaw knives have come sharp. It comes in a box that is to small for the knife. My flipper was sticking out of the box. Kubey and Gonzo knifes com-in a nice box. The Kubey and Gonzo knives come very sharp and are cheaper than most Kersaw knives. I just am not impressed.

Don’t use it on oranges Love kershaw knives and the blackwashed design on this one. My only complaint is that there is no mention anywhere to keep the knife away from citrus. I used it on an orange and the juice rinsed off the blackwash. So now, part of my blade is plain steel color. Not a big deal but if I had known, I would have kept it away from citrus (acid).
