Take on the tough tasks with this tactically styled Blur The Tanto Blur offers all the great grip advantages of the other Blurs on the force, but this one offers tactical styling with a modified tanto blade with partial serration. With its angled shape, the tanto blade provides additional piercing power to penetrate tough materials. The unique shape puts more steel behind the point to support its piercing tasks. We’ve also found that the short front edge is particularly handy for opening boxes. For razor sharpness, Kershaw hollow grinds the edge. Then for additional versatility, Kershaw added partial serration to the blade, giving you a great tool for cutting through materials such as webbing or rope. All this makes the Tanto Blur a good choice for situations in which you’re going to need to make an impact on your environment. In an emergency, it could be a real lifesaver. The Tanto Blur’s blade is built of high-performance Sandvik 14C28N stainless blade steel for corrosion resistance and hardness. The black DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating provides additional extra corrosion resistance and is non-reflective. Black anodized aluminum handles of durable 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum with sure-grip Trac-Tec inserts complete the Tanto Blur’s discrete, matte look.Constructed of 13C26 stainless steel for strength and corrosion resistance, Kershaw’s Ken Onion Tactical Blur folding knife features a 3-3/8-inch partially serrated Tanto blade. Ideal for extreme or everyday situations, the Blur series offers power and performance. A lightweight anodized aluminum handle offers Trac-Tec inserts which provide a non-slip grip even in wet and slippery conditions.

Kershaw’s SpeedSafe assisted opening system helps you to smoothly open the knife with a manual push on the blade’s thumb stud or Index-Open system. SpeedSafe’s torsion bar helps keep the knife closed, preventing it from being opened by accident. In order to open the knife, apply manual pressure to the thumb stud to overcome the resistance of the torsion bar. After the blade is out of the handle, the torsion bar moves along its track and takes over. The blade opens smoothly and locks into position, ready for use.

Like it so much I bought 3 of them! I own a lot of knives. This made in USA Kershaw with “speed safe” opening is one of my favorites. It has become my every day carry. It snaps open quickly and locks solidly. The aluminum handle with the grippy, rubbery inserts, feels just right in the hand. The price was reasonable and the quality appears to be quite good. I liked it so much I bought a couple more as gifts for my son and son in law. I really like this knife.

Four Stars Good knife. Slightly larger, and far more durable, than most folders. More metal in this thing’s frame than the mass produced assisted folders other companies offer. The rubberized grips work well, both the lock and the spring assist are above average.

Absolutely The Good Stuff I only carry Kershaw knives. This is my first experience with the Speedsafe system. I am impressed. The deployment is safe but fast. I didn’t want the flipper series due to reported pocket wear. The thumb stud works great. The sound and visual factors are impressive…
